Johanna, Sorry to hear about Henrietta. You can't help but become attached when you feed and care for critters every day. I say that's the way to go. Years on the farm happily a-laying. Then without warning, done. I will remember Henrietta with an omelet for dinner.
Sorry to hear about that, Jo. Could it be a parasite or fungus or some congenital abnormality? Or just one of those things?
